I miss my dad, he evened out the playing field... Home has not been home since he passed away 2yrs ago.

My brother constantly belittles me, even tho I'm 6yrs older. He's rude and condescending and always 'right'.

My mother see's no wrong in anything he does, not even when he's rude to her.

But if I step out of line I get a tongue lashing. WTF? Is that b,tch serious? And if you point it out,she vehemently denies it. I HATE THEM AND WANT TO LEAVE! But I can't, I'm still job hunting after being laid off

I honestly think I should leave before I land up in jail. I can't take this anymore, I can't.

Some churches and other groups have retreat centers. One of them in my area said they do allow folks such as you to spend a couple of days with them at no cost with them when they feel endangered as you seem to now. Maybe there's somewhere like this where you are?

I know you're seeking more than a temporary break, but even an overnight change of perspective might give you an inspiration or even a needed connection.

Thanks for responding Roadie. I spoke to my niece (we're in the same age group) and she said I could go stay with her for a few days.

The thing is, I'm not even home all that often, but when I am, it's a problem. If 1 of them are not verbally attacking me, they're triggering me. Nearly everyday I must be reminded that they think me a 2nd class citizen. And when I refuse to talk to them, they sit within earshot 'pondering' why I ignore them, coz they have 'no idea' what they did wrong. And God forbid I point out the wrong! They act like I'm crazy.

If my brother's disrespectful to my mom, she goes on with her day as if it didn't happen, doesn't even frown. My tone of voice must just be 'off' then she rants on and on and on about how rude I am. This happened today, and I asked her why she get's so worked up over my attitude but overlooks it when he's blatantly rude, she got all indignant and angry, and told me to stop talking sh,t, I told her to give an example of when she put him in his place and then she started ranting bout how I like to imagine I'm being victimized

Screw this. Feel like taking my daughter and setting the house ablaze while they sleep. THEY SUCK!
