This is really terrible, and i feel so guilty. but i met one of my boyfriend's friends , Danny . and i was extremely shy , My boyfriend Isaac was telling him a story and had left something out, which i thought was funny . so i whispered to Isaac what he'd forgotten to tell Danny, Danny thought it was cute how shy i was, he said he'd never met a girl like me before and that i was good looking, which made me feel really good about myself. i dunno why he could think a million girls are "good looking"
Isaac and Danny are tattoo artists , Isaac did a really amazing piece on my thigh , its really beautiful . and he sent a picture of it to Danny , he said that he liked the piece , and then said that my legs looked good. Then isaac went to buy me candy at the store Danny works at, and text Danny saying we were just in the store we were gonna say hi but he was busy ,Danny asked why we went ,Isaac responded "i had to go get Lakayla some candy . shes a little kid aha" Danny says "Yeah but shes cute though(:", Isaac asked "do you have a crush on her or what ?" he said yes sorta jokingly but he keeps saying things to Isaac about how i'm pretty and cute. and i feel like its sweet..and i wanted to go to the store he worked at to see him,and Isaac let me text him for a little while.. I dont find him attractive , i dont think hes cute or anything. hes just being sweet to me and its making me feel good about myself. i want to see him , and talk to him .. i dont have a "crush" on him, i dunno what it is ! if Isaac knew he'd be hurt like he doesn't love me good enough .. but i feel like maybe Isaac hasn't been treating me so well all the time more recently and its making this happen.. i completely love Isaac. and wouldn't ever want to be with anyone else. This other kid is just making me feel special.. Isaac does make me feel special . but sometimes i feel like when he compliments me. its because he has too.. because he's my boyfriend. Maybe im attention needy? i dunno //: |

I think that you should talk to your boyfriend. Just say that you would like to get a little more attention from him.

It's not really childish, it's something everyone deals with. I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone that doesn't appreciate a good compliment from someone that's not attached to you in some way -- your parents, friends, significant other, you name it. I had a guy I work with tell me I looked pretty one day. I was floating on air for a good week. Even now, sometimes when I'm getting dressed in the morning I think, "will he think I'm pretty today?" I've been with my fiance for six years, and he's never been one to compliment me without me going on fishing expedition, so I understand what it's like to have another guy compliment you and have it go to your head a little -- which there is nothing wrong with. Try telling yourself you are beautiful. Keep telling yourself until you really feel it and know it's true.
The one thing I kind of take issue is that this guy keeps telling your boyfriend these things. It's coming off as a, "Hey I think you're girlfriend is hot. And if you're not careful, I'm going to sweep her off her feet." Which really.. isn't something you want in a best friend. Not to mention, he wouldn't joke about having a crush on you unless he did... If I were in that type of situation, I'd probably make jokes about it, along the lines of "Hey, let's go hang out with Danny, he's good for my ego!" But in all honesty, you should probably avoid him... Is there any reason you feel that your boyfriend hasn't been treating you as well lately? Or is it a little touch of the grass is always greener? Don't feel bad about your post. We're here to support you. And again, it's not childish. It's human nature ![]() |
