I like one of my guyfriends, always have. I liked him when him and I first met way back in September of last year.

And he always knew that I have.

And he knows that I cry over him. I have several of times.

He told me many times, "Dont cry over him, because Im not worth it." He mentioned that a lot during our three hour conversation.

Is it bad to cry over someone who doesnt feel the same way as you, especially since he tells you that he isnt worth it?

Has this ever happened to you before?

It's possible he values your friendship alot and does not want to ruin it by starting a relationship. Kinda like a brother/sister type thing

regarding the idea of "im not worth it" , this is a typical reaction used by many when they don't feel the same way towards the other person! they start telling you they are not worth it, mainly because they don't know what else to say, and because its much easier than other answers such as "sorry but i dont love you" ...
and crying is not bad! its an honest and innocent way of expressing your feelings! which is very normal in your case. but don't spend the whole day/night crying! here it starts to become a bit problematic.

He told me that he doesnt like anyone. And he doesnt want anything out of our friendship. He isnt looking for something. He doesnt want anything from this.

But we do talk a lot about our feelings.
