Right now, there is a "rift" between my son and I too. My son is an alcoholic and he was EXTREMELY disrespectful to me -- and I will not tolerate that. He's never said those things to me before. And he was SOBER too. I don't know why he did it -- but I won't take that from him or anyone.

Sorry to hear that Pinkrose. My relationship with my son is so up and down lately. It's a nightmare, he's 16, we both have bipolar.

i gave my mom problems for a while... it was mainly bc she said things that upset me and she has always put me down. mabey he thought you said something that upset him.. im not saying its your fault. I think you should sit down and talk to him ask him why he is so mad. And try to figure it out from there. im sorry to hear that you are going through this. I really hope things will get better

My children don't want anything to do with me. That hurts me as a father, even though I know what the reason is and it's my fault. I hope you are able to reconcile soon.
