Hello everyone, I am a young girl from London and I suffer with anxiety and depression. I had these two friends who I can no longer call friends anymore. It all started at the end of last year when I had various petty arguments with the lad and then both him and her turned against me and started discussing me behind my back. He in particular has continuously upset me by talking to the girl on phone saying I was ugly. That I looked like a freak. He criticised my appearance as I wear bright colours as well as my anxiety and saying I looked 24. I am not that age at all and if peeps could give me advice on here about the disgusting way people have treated me and if u could have a look at this pic and tell me what age I look and whether I look ugly or like a freak I would appreciate it. Basically the guy who talked about me hates me and I feel so sad and worried now. http://s1182.photobucket.com/albums/x447/angelk01/?action=view¤t=utf-8BSU1HMDA5NzctMjAxMjA0MjctMTgxMS5qcGc.jpg

These sort of people aren't worth knowing at all and are just bullies IMO, They need to get a life instead of bullying, You're pretty and no way look 24, I can't see the pic you posted as it isn't showing but I have seen many pics of you before and believe me you're a pretty young lady.

It's a shame for them because they lost someone really great in their lives. It's time to find new friends. (I'd rather be alone that have abusive people around me). As far as your concern because of the man that was speaking out of line. If you have concerns for your personal safety, call the police. If you have concerns because you are worried about what HE thinks about you, don't be around him. He doesn't deserve to know you !
Also, PLEASE, find a good T. You are lovely (no I didn't look at the pic and for the hundreth time I am not going to because I want to encourage you find your inner beauty) ![]() You know, also, if you aren't feeling great as a treat to yourself, you can go to the local department store and ask for a makeover. Or speak with the personal shopper so she/he can help you find a "look" that you love. BUT DO NOT LET THEM CON YOU INTO PURCHASING ANYTHING. Unless you absolutely love it and it's just 1 thing (like a great lipstick or great eye pencil) or a fabulous summer top. Know what I mean? Essex, 99.999% of us are not supermodels. And frankly, who would want to be? Most of them are horrible people. Trust me. They are grumpy, miserable, etc (because they never eat and only smoke and drink coffee) and their personalities...they have none because they base everything on the way they appear. Looks fade, though, and by 30, they are done. And most have no proper education. What to do then? Also sweetie, they may look good on the screen or behind the lense, but IRL, they are just regular looking people that some Fashionista Stylist Anna Wintour decided was the most beautiful thing in the world. Also, every single photo you see in public: billboards, magazines, the big screen, etc. it's ALLLLLL photoshopped. And these people have brilliant make up artists. Have your spoken with your doctor since your laser, btw? It's important that you discuss how you are feeling. ((((Big Hugs)))) Hang in there. OK. You are lovely. And very brave! |

Hi essexgirl,
I am going to be honest and say that it doesn't really matter how many people on this site tell you that you are beautiful, because in the long run it doesn't mean anything. What is important, however, is that YOU are happy with yourself. Self-confidence is the only thing that will truly make a difference. You have posted your picture several times on this site - this shows me that the replies we give you really aren't making any lasting difference. My advice? Stop posting your picture, and work on loving yourself first and foremost. ![]() |

Keep working on healing and loving yourself, your belief in yourself is far more important than anyone's opinion of how you look, including ours. Stay with us and keep posting, we'll be here for you.

No amount of reassuring you, is reassuring to you, that much is evident, by the amount of times you've posted about this. You need to work on loving yourself, that way, what other people say about your looks doesn't matter at all, especially when you KN0W they're just being cruel. Stop giving these people the power to make you miserable, take control, if you're seeing a T, work on self-esteem and self-love, or you'll keep posting pics on forums looking for reassurance, which obviously hasn't been working... Take care of yourself.

Hi essexgirl,
I am sorry that your friends are still picking on you and useing the look older remarks. Hey, it is never nice when people pick on us and call us names. Pretty soon you will be out of high school and hopefully entering college where you will meet other people. In the long run these two people that are picking on you wont matter down the road. I hope you take some time out this summer and experiment with your looks, hair, a little make up etc. As I said, you have nice features to work with, so don't you worry. You have to learn to ignore these negetive people ok? ((((Hugs)))) Open Eyes |

24? That's a random number....just saying
1. Generally immaturity leads to ignorance. (especially in arguments) 2. I would gather you have friends that treat you right. Focus on them 3. Meanness has nothing to do with you even though it is being said about you it's more about the person delivering the meanness. It's something internally wrong with them at that moment 4. Do YOU think you look 24? If so, what is wrong with looking and being 24? 5. Define Ugly cause I don't think your it. I mean the defintion in the dictionary seems pretty vague to me. Can you explain it to me? 6. human beings are stupid quite often and don't always think....and that is putting it nicely...

Sweetie, I have to agree with Melissa.
![]() ![]() Honey, you need to speak with a therapist to work on your self-esteem. You have to find a way to learn to love yourself! Like the others have said, it doesn't matter what others say -- they're all cruel, hard-hearted idiots. They don't DESERVE to know you. Don't worry about them. ![]() Talk to a therapist. If you can't afford one, talk to a counselor at school. Get some books on self-esteem. But above all, don't listen to what others say -- they're just trying to get your goat because they know they CAN! Don't let them do that! You're stronger than that. ![]() |
