Not from Mars, or Venus, like any of those self help books. I just dont get it...I feel like I just landed here. I nice, communicative cute guy who likes me and I realized I have no clue how to be in a relationship without problems. He says (e-mails) completely normal relationship things to me and I have to forward them to my T for translation. I wish I could explain this better. Its like the piece of my brain for understanding relationships has been removed..HAs anyone had this experience? Its rather difficult to explain...

What does he actually say in the emails? Does he write saying he likes you, or hinting he'd like to ask you out? If you give us one or two samples, perhaps we could do a bit of interpreting for you? FG |

I deleted them. Next time I will forward them for all to interpret. If he only knew!

Hi justsignmeupalready
Excuse me for asking but what sexual orientation do you belong to? The reason that I ask is because I had a similar conversation with a friend of mine a few days ago about the same thing, but he was gay.(I am not but I do know what happened in this case) I don't mean to draw the wrong picture here, I am just asking. Hi JSMUA
I assumed, correctly, that you are a straight female. There was nothing in your post to indicate otherwise - just a young woman receiving friendly emails from a young man. By the way, there's no need to send the guy's whole message for us to examine under the magnifying glass (as you say, if only he knew!). Couldn't you just quote a bit of one? Just in case he visits this site! FG |

OK. Email from him. What does this mean?
"I am looking at it from a divorced persons point of view. After just getting out of a relationship I think most people would not want to jump right into another one. I know your widowed last year and you didn’t have a choice about that. So I guess my theory doesn’t pertain to you. I was asking in a round about way, are you looking for an exclusive relationship or are you looking to date around. You said you were looking for a long term relationship and so am I. So I think we’re a good match that way and other ways also. But if you thought it was to soon for you to get in a long term relationship I would want to know up front and I’d understand. Don’t get me wrong I’m not trying to lock you into a commitment. I would never want to do that. Just making sure we are going down the same path. I think we are I have trouble expressing myself sometimes" He wants a long term thing but not a commitment? What does that mean?????????????????????? ARGGGHHH!!!!!!!!!! |
