Something to Ponder.....

How can this thread be seen as acceptable conversation and not generalization about females? - for if a woman was to make the slightest statement about or against a male........ it is seen as Man Bashing.

............................. I just don't get it?

Rhapsody - pet peeves pet peeves pet peeves

P.S.
Women also know that not all men fit the stereotypes when we post our thoughts & feelings and yet we cont' to get negativity all around if we speak our minds.....

Ok Ok - YOU are RIGHT and I am WRONG................. Hmm - but you did change the topic on me for my thread was for the ladies to understand men..... not to discuss generalization of males as YOU saw it to be.

" you are right and i am wrong"? its not about that and you know it, you think i am trying to pick a fight? i responded to your thread based on the information you put there from my point of view.

you should have called the thread "what i dont know about men, and dont want to know about from a mans point of veiw unless it is from a book, writen by a female, for females"

No - I just cant stand it when someone states that they hate generalization of their own species and then they turn right around and do the exact same thing to the opposite sex...... Don't you see your list as a generalization? (I do)
But then again I do not mind for you have your rights, and I usually would not have said a word about what you posted..... but one cannot rebuke some thing and then turn around and do it.

.................................... Points to Ponder.

LoVe,
Rhapsody -

P.S.
btw - her husband helped write the book and he is a MAN!!

....................... Lips are Closed - please PM if you want to talk about this any further..... THX>

When you ask why men do something, you appear to be asking about behaviors you attribute to men. If you think men and women do something, you should phrase it, "Why do some people...?" It won't help you understand men if you ask why men do something that both sexes do. It will help you understand people, if you are aware people, not just men, do it.

Mellors is posting this to show you how it feels to him on your thread. You don't like generalizations about females, yet you think it's okay to make generalizations about males. He isn't trying to bash females, he's trying to make a point and show you how it feels.

What if someone said, "Why do blacks rob and steal?" Attributing this characteristic to blacks specifically attacks black people, when all races of people rob and steal, so you should ask why people rob and steal. Otherwise, it comes across as racist, just as asking about men in the way you did comes across as sexist.

Sorry again, Mellors, but you're helping to make my point as well.

Please NOTE that I DO NOT have a problem with Mellor's thread or any other man asking WHY DO WOMEN for one will never know unless they ask...... I personally do not take it as an attack against the entire female population when a man says WHY DO WOMEN do such and such...... (?)
I am mature enough and educated enough to know and understand that they are just trying to figure it all out and that their choice of wording means nothing more than what is being asked.....

Mellor's you have the right to ask all you want about us females..... I like that a man wants to know or wished to share.
My first post in here was just saying why do the same thing that you are protesting against.... for I never would, not even to make a point.

LoVe,
Rhapsody -

P.S.
BTW................. I never said I did not like generalization about females..... NEVER once, mayeb it was assumed by another.

Both of these threads have become personal. I'm locking them, and please take personal issues to PM.

Thanks,
