Yep, she was doing so well and when she got her paycheck she went out and blew the entire thing in one night. My stepdad called me and told me that she's hooking agian too. I'm disappointed, but I can't imagine my mom not being crackhead....she's been one half my life. I'm glad my sister and her baby no longer live there.

I can sort of relate to the topic of MOM's being addicted to drugs. Mine was a pharmacutical junkie. She used to take pain meds for a hip and back problem and she was hooked. It got so bad, she was buying the ***** on-line. Once, she almost lost her life, I was soooo pissed and devastated. But, luckily, she got better by a miracle. I'm not a religious type of person, but I believe it was a gift from God. But, that was a large bump in the road, she has been into inpatient care for he addiction and mental health for couple of spells. Oh, 2 years ago she slit her wrist in front of my Stepdad. Luckily she got rushed to hospital and made it. For me, it's hell seeing your mother go through what she is putting herself through. It was a tough ordeal for me and I thought I was strong enough to cope, but I wasn't. I had help and it worked. Also, since I have been married almost a year and my wife is about due, she is getting better. If not, she has already been warned by me if she screws up.
But, I hope your situation gets better. Everything takes time. |

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Des}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} I'm so sorry!!
I thought your mom had moved to be with your sister. What did I miss? Anyway, good thing they're not together, for your sister's sake. ![]()

I'm sorry too. It is hard to watch something control another's life so perniciously. I wish I could help, but I can't. We tried to get help for a relative but it didn't work so well. Someone else quit cold turkey, so you never know.

Sweetie, take three giant steps back from her and keep that distance. Do not let babies near her and lock your house, car, kids, who knows. You are trying to have a better life, you can do it. I don't know why this just occured to me but how old is your mother?
