brother denying parents do not help

Hello there.

My brother chased the family with a knife about October 2012.He was screaming also very loud that night. We had to call the police and being inserted him in psychiatric mental clinic for about 50 days and then he went out. During his therapy and after exiting clinic for about 20 days he was in medication (olanzapine). After that he cut off the medication. Problem is that my parents also support him in a way--they know he is not in good condition but they DID not follow the doctors advice (after the incident they had to go to a psyciatrist--the same i was going as i went there 2 years ago since i had feelings of depression which now i do NOT have anymore but i am still going there to improve myself-just mention to you the FULL details). This psyciatrist told my parents that my brother has to leave home to become well but my parents DO NOT FOLOOWED his advice at all!!!!! They keep him in the family business, in the home, at every place the psyciatrist told them NOT TO!!!!!!! As a result i have ALMOST daily problems as my brother trying to make my day bad ( i do not hold the grudge because i know he is not in good mental health). I love my brother and i am COMPLETELY ****** OFF with my parents reaction! They try to appear AS I AM THE PROBLEM WHEN CLEARLY I AM not--just to mention here that my psyciatrist totally agrees on that and as a result he told me the last time to take distances something is VERY difficult to achieve as we work in the same business and everytime i am trying to do something good or alsmost everytime my brother sabotages me which makes me loose my temper. My parents do not support him exactly on that but their behaviour is that tney are trying to be convinced i am right on that, something which gives my brother the necessary stepstone to strength his position on the business--just to mentuion that my psiciatrist he is on my side with trhat and he COMPLETELY disagrees with my parents behaviolur!!!!! I can not stand it anymore i do not know what to do...After ME pushing the situation a lot my brother went in a psyciatrist ( he was DENYING VERY STRONGLY THE FACT THAT HE WAS SICK, and he thought he just had his nerves). He did not want to go with the same psyciatrist with me as he said to my parents that is not accepted for the same psyciatrist to see both brothers something i COMPLETELY dissagree--my psyciatrist told me that my brother is trying to make full of the other psyciatrist and not present him the situation as it is as my brother very well knows that my psyciatrist knows the situation with him as my psychiatrist had took over my brother when he was in the mental clinic--my brother goes to his psyciatrist just on the last 30 days and i have the same opinion with my psiciatrist that he goes there just to "prove" to us that he is not denying his sickness--my parents agree on that but they do NOT do anything abouit that!!!!!!

I forgot to mention that he is also calling me and my parents BAD NAMES!

Please help and answer STRONGLY PREFERABLE IF YOU ARE A DOCTOR related with mental health issues. Thank you for your time and sorry for being that long.

I'm sorry you've been having this experience. I had a very similar one growing up with my sister. And my parents never intervened. I hope that they will do what is right for your brother. In the meantime is there anything you can do to protect yourself?
