Someone at my school talks too much, always talking about herself and doesn't ask about how others are doing. She barely lets me have some input on what to say and if anyone tries to change the subject, either she will ignore and keep on going, or she'll let it change temporarily but then eventually guide the conversation to herself. I've been distancing myself from her and she doesn't seem to care that she really doesn't have any friends.

maybe she doesn't realize how she comes accross?

Prior to being put on ADHD medication, I had no idea how I came accross. I realized after being medicated that the reason i had a hard time keeping friends was because all i did was talk about random things, or myself, or something unrelated to the topic that everyone else was talking about. I would go off on these tangents and only talk about what interested me (which usually was boring to other people).

There are people like that in the world; what is your concern? Why are you still trying to talk with her expecting her to change?

I actually don't know why, and I'm actually distancing myself a bit from her.

Oh wow, we'll at least you got the problem fixed! . And it's possible she doesn't know, although she has admitted that she talks a lot but doesn't care what other people think.
