I don't even remember being that little. I only remember 16 and up.

Oh. that's because I'm 17 and I'm nearing adulthood. I wish i was treated as an equal to everyone else. Life isn't always fair!

Don't blame the kid. Blame the kids parents or in some cases that they have a disorder just like us. I do not let my kids act out in public. They are expected to behave quietly, respectfully, and appropriately for the setting. That's not being an adult, it's being polite. They are 4 and 2. And they do just fine without any negative affects on their overall wellbeing. Kids are people, just small. The difference is that they are new at it and rely on their parents to teach them...much like you rely on your boss to train you in a new job.

I know a lot of children who are more mature than teenagers.

having been a nanny for 20 years and running a pre school for 36 2-5 yr olds for a number of years too i now find children to be noisy little monsters with no manners or understanding on how to behave in public. i do not blame the kids though as you only have to look at the parents to see why the kids are the way they are. when i was young we were taught to behave, to respect that not everyone wanted to hear you , but it seems parents are too busy to teach manners anymore
Thanks for this!

I don't like ill-behaved children - children who are loud, rude, violent. I don't like it when they run into me or touch me. I don't like to be touched. Unfortunately, most children these days are ill-behaved.
