So!
I've been dating my boyfriend for about a year now. He has been staying in my appartment for several months with me. Enough that it feels like home and we are comfortable seeing each other there when we get home. He has known that I am going threw a divorce and has been okay with it and great the whole time. He really is a great guy. The only thing is that he had been staying with his parents when I met him due to the loss of a job. He was super deppressed and we started talking and dating each other by chance. He is diagnosed as having bipolar. ... and then the part that worries me. I have to move out of my appartment, my lease is up in a month. So we won't be living together for a month or so while I'm looking for a new appartment. So he will have to stay with his parents again while I do this. Im so worried he's going to get deppressed again and stop talking to me and I feel responsible for it even though theres nothing I can do. I don't know what the chances of saving our relationship will be after this. Or maybe I shouldn't be worried... the unknown part of these things awfull...How can I make sure he is okay because its a big change for a while. And make sure our relationship doesn't just fall apart? |

If your relationship and love are solid it won't fall apart in a month. And you can't be responsible for his moods. Only he can do that.

what Gayle said.
Also, don't feel responsible for this. it's circumstances outside of you that are making this happen, not you. You're not throwing him out. It's the situation. The unknown is always hard to deal with but look at it this way. It sounds like things are probably pretty good between you. I'm sure that's a great start. If you have to deal with being apart, not living together for 4 weeks, when you get through it, I would bet the bank on this, that your relationship will actually be stronger. |
