I've realized in the past week with my relapse, that it is timeto write down my experiences...i couldn't face it until now. I think once I've written it down, reflecting on how shabbily I was treated, in black and white, in longhand, it will finally all come home to me.
I know they say journaling is a good thing, but I've resisited until now. Patty |

Dealing with some emotions and the past can be painful. Hang in there and try that journaling thing.

journaling is part of what kept me sane my entire life....and when I started really looking at my past, it was made more real to me by putting it into writing. reading it back..
It isn't easy.. healing isn't... but you can do it.. walk through that which causes pain and come through to the other side healed... left with a scar perhaps.. but healed nonetheless.

I have found journaling alerts me to some of my personal issues .. ie fears, anger, regret as i identify some of the triggers that cause some of my lapses i can work on them to not allow these things to hurt me as much or a better understanding of the hurts

I haven't started a journal yet but I think it could make a big difference in my life if I did. What we feel is really hard to describe to others at times it could even end up by the other person getting completely fed up of listening to us as we are un able to say things in a rational way. If we write it down then the others have time to read what we have written as many times as they like until they at last understand how we really feel. I hope I haven't been to complicating in this.

I never much cared for writing in journals. It always made me feel worse. Just having to write and think about things that I didn't like in myself was quite bad. For me, objective self awareness is not a state I like to be in. It must work for a lot of people though.

Journaling has helped me see that I am getting better bit by bit. I know I am not where I was a year ago.

Good wishes on this seeker. Remember, you can write and not have to read it later. Just the writing of it can be cathartic. ((((hugs))))

It can be a very good thing, Seeker, I think it changed my life (for the better :-)
I really got a lot out of Julian Cameron's Artist's Way and the way she teaches to journal. Mine evolved from there to 10+ years worth now.

I am going to look for ARTIST'S WAY.
Currently, though, my journal is still in my head, and seems to painful to write down! The images and passages are becoming so prevalent, that maybe they should be written, and then put away physically and mentally. Thanks, Patty |
