I’m single divorced and have been for some years now for one reason or a another.
But the last 3 years I have tried to to put my self back out there. But every time I think some one likes me or I like them I get to smiling or saying hello but cant get past that, I seem to wont the women to chase me or I put a barrier up and I feel really bad after the event because the women is making an effort or I think she is but then I go on the run. I have don this 3 or 4 times now, its as though I have no control its a blur until I come away from the encounter then I see what I was like. I’m worried something is wrong with me. As any one out there had the same problem. |

hi imajerk
ive been alone 14 years......look at your screen name...maybe its our perception of ourselves....my mom said no man would ever want me because I am fat...even though I have lost 60 pounds I still believe this...even though I see all these really large women with nice looking husbands come into work to prove different....welcome to psych central. you will find we have several forums where you can post about your concerns and receive feedback from other members. you will get a lot of support here. again, welcome ![]() |

Do you mean that you get sort of tongue-tied and don't really make conversation? Or that you don't take things to the next level i.e. a date, and wait for them to make the next move?
