We fight a lot and sometimes he thinks I use my mental probs as an excuse to not do things. He gets mad bc I get a lotta attention bc of it and ppl treat me differently and he seems to feel ignored. Sometimes he says mean things to me that are truly hurtful. I'm lost. He says he loves me but....

Hey! Hmmm. I am wondering if he really understands the nature of your mental illness. I assume you are doing your best to cope with your illness and not to use it as an excuse.

If he truly resents you, then I also wonder if he would be a good match for you. Would he be willing to talk to a counselor with you? If he is not willing to understand you and to work with you, then that really worries me.

What types of things aren't you doing?
What type of extra attention are you getting?
Did he say he resents you?
I'm baffled about the special treatment aspect for mi, that seems to stand out, in your post.
