I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do in this situation, because I'm out of the state and she's really torn up about it.
Advice? -Sam

Hmm, this would probably be better in the relationship forum. Sorry about that...

If she wants support, give her support. I'm not sure what else you can do...

Stay in touch. With my bff, we have a long standing agreement, that if something catastrophic were to occur, text/call at any hour. It's rare that we need to, but we've both been there, long distance for one another, during times of crisis. I was a virtual shoulder to cry/lean on, when her fiancé ended things, years ago. She was there, when I was going through marital struggles. Both there, when her dad then my mom passed on. Are there, for one another, right now, as she's supporting her brother through his divorce and custody battle, and I am going through a modification to custody.
We lived together for three years, in college, were sorority sisters, and have been through many of lifes ups and downs, throughout the years. Just being there, present, available is about all you can do. ![]() |
