This has been a long time issue with me, I am deeply hurt when anyone I like, trust, or respect doesn't feel those things for me. And I have been known to react negatively too, so making the situation worse. My usual reaction especially IRL is to withdraw but other reactions I have had have also been negative. I am hoping that having quoted this (thanks C) which is how I was feeling but hadn't formulated into consise thought..... will help with this issue

I, too, deal with not being liked...or feeling like my friendship IRL is not reciprocated. It hurts inside eh, but nothing I can do but hope time will heal it.

Same goes here! Probably why my social circle is so small?

I like that quote, it's something that some people struggle with-- like me.
I like the word "honour" being used in it.... I think it is about honoring the other person and ourselves.

The fact you see this is an issue for you is HUGE-- IMO! I believe it's a good direction to be going.

It's a very difficult thing to deal with(for some of us fearing rejection)-- I understand what it feels like to be regarded in such a way that doesn't feel right.... it hurts. But everyone deserves to have an opinion -*sigh*- even if that opinion is against me. (it's so hard to deal with though)

I think we are all so different in tastes and habits and lifestyles that we have to find "our People". I don't like everyone so it stands that everyone won't like me. The thing I find interesting is that when I take the time to try and understand the someone i didn't feel particlarly drawn to I make major surprises. good ones too. Its that old thing don't judge a book by its cover. Sometimes when I check out my idea that someone didn't like me it wasn't that at all. They were busy or scared or shy or something that wasn't at all what I thought. Never assume is the one thing I have learned that really makes a difference.
