Quick tip: if you want to see if a photo is real or stolen from somewhere, use TinEye Reverse Image Search - it'll show you if that image is on any other searchable sites. It's not a definite guarantee the guy is for real, but it could give you a clue if something's wrong.

Skype him and you will see his face without having to meet him in person. Google chat has video, too, as do some other tools (but I do not know their names).

Oh man, be careful of online dating . I wound up with a terrible man I would hate to see you get into a situation like I did.

Agreed!! In fact, I don't know of anyone who gets into an online relationship and lets it continue past a week without using some sort of video chat. It's just not safe, and has been for years, too easy for both men and women to lie about what they look like when only offering a photo.

Other sites which support video chat are PalTalk, and Yahoo. Yahoo used to have 'chat rooms' and they don't anymore, but private video messenging is still available.

Hope this is helpful.
Thanks for this!

I met a lovely lady online 2 months ago and she is moving in soon . Yay bring it on. But yes Skype, video chat, phone etc. I know people can be shy but if they won't skype, you have to wonder why. If you really get on even if shy you need to see each other. Lots of nice people online that want to give and recieve love. Don't let all the negativity put you off. Just be as wary and sensible as you would be irl. Love and peace xx
Thanks for this!
