Lately I've been having some issues with what I think is bipolar/borderline/definitely depression. On Zoloft 50mg for 5 months.

It happens when someone tells me something bad about myself and I'm either caught in guilt -or- want to kill myself. It's not bad stuff. On the flip side, and the majority of the time, I am high above the clouds, excited, "happy" and motivated with my music.

I'm kind of scared and feel a talk therapist would help as I've tried all my friends. Thanks.

I've also been researching ego and self and feeling enlightened, but bad stuff is hitting me hard. Like, "why is this happening to me right now when I'm supposed to be mentally elevated?"

Can you schedule an appointment with a therapist? That does sound like a good idea.

Hello, James01, and welcome to Psych Central! I agree. Go ahead and make an appointment. You could start with a regular medical doctor, if you can get an appointment there more quickly. Sounds like something might be going on that needs to be addressed.

I hope you will feel more stable soon.
