How about fostering new friendships? It is inevitable that she is going to have a lot less time for you, and even when she does see you, she may have baby in tow. Things will be different between the two of you. Mommyhood changes women, so suddenly that which is not amusing or even cute to those without kids is now the most fascinating thing on the planet and must be shared with everyone on the planet. (ie poopy diapers!) Yes, things are changing. If you don't like kids, no harm, no foul. Not everyone likes kids, and personally, I have a medical reason for not liking to be in the company of kids. (Try explaining THAT to someone....yeah, I just keep it inside rather than have people look at me like I have 3 heads LOL.)
