My stepdad is an abuse survivor. He had a physically and verbally abusive stepfather.
He has not laid a hand on my sisters, (although he has wanted to and said it aloud), likes to take away privileges without a second thought, is excessively clingy to my mother and when he isn't, he's cheating on her. There have been three girls in the past three years. He has also been unemployed for almost a year at a time twice. My sisters aren't able to go many places and right before they do, he thinks up any excuse why they shouldn't and starts to pick an argument. I'm at the point that I'm going to tell my mother that until he gets some form of help, I'm not coming home. |

To add to this, during the eight months he was unemployed, he did not attempt to look for a job, nor did he help with the house or anything else. He sat around, made more dishes, and had my sisters clean the house on the days that my mother didn't yell at him for it.

Hi Kitty, Unless your mom gets fed up and tells your dad to shape up or ship out, I guess you leaving is about the next best thing.
Sorry to say that and none of you deserve to be treated that way by your dad. I am glad to see you know your dad is not being the person he should be!
