I just don’t get it. I just don’t get why people don’t like me. I try to be nice to everyone. I’m genuinely caring and everything but people don’t like me. You know I try to speak up and tell jokes but it seems like I’m always shut down. I see everyone else getting alone fine and everyone loves each other and when someone enters the room its like “OHH MY GOD ! BAE, I love you” and when I walk in the door its like “oh hi”. It just gets to me after a while. And then we basically never hang out unless I run into them or I’m really trying to see whats going on and they don’’t text me anymore. I’m really scared that I’m just boring. I think that’s just the case though. I’m not crazy like them. And that just makes it worse. Just being a boring nobody that no one cares about. Or that everyone forgets. My birthday is next week and I’m worried that no one will care. Whatever.

I think you haven't found your people yet. Are you involved in any groups related to your interests? Sometimes it takes a while to find the right group of people, but eventually you are going to find them -- and it will be a revelation!

Happy early birthday, btw.

Cloud,

I agree with hvert - it may take a while to find 'your' people or your 'tribe'.
I used to think I was boring too, but when I met people interested in discussing things I was interested in, it made quite a change. Maybe you are more 'deep' and 'spiritual' than your loud 'OMG' so-called friends! Maybe you are actually a better friend, more loyal and caring... Did you try befriending other 'quiet' people rather than the 'loud crowd'?

If you've been depressed this can influence one's interactions too. Try to find what really excites and interests you, and possibly there will be other interesting and cool people there too!

Cloud2314 ..maybe you are trying too hard and expecting too much.
At least you are trying and that's good.
I know it hurts but I doubt if you are a 'boring' person !
Don't give up on yourself .. you are valued here on PC.

Happy birthday BTW .. I know it's early and I hope you have a good one.
