I've been told by my good male friends that any guy would be lucky to have me as his woman. I've been told that the one man that chooses me will have the biggest blessing imaginable. Yet, still I find myself friend-zoned by almost every man I get to know in depth. I am tired of being the diamond in the rough. When will it be my turn to shine? Ever since I was little I have only wanted to be with one man for the rest of my life and I try my best to hold true to that childhood dream but It's insanely hard to stay devoted to my own dream without someone in my life.

You wont find the right one unless you get out there and date a few/bunch. Have faith.

It might not be what you think.

I'm reading between the lines, but I wonder if you're not a bit intimidating. That the guys see you as out of their league. You're too good for them so they stay as friends.

So keep being sweet and you'll find that guy that can step up to the plate.

I know in my local news paper there are ads for single dance take a look at your news paper and see if they have one . Find something that has singles that is a great place to find someone .
You never know when you will find mr. right you could be getting coffee and standing in line and start up a chat with a man next to you and next thing you know your married and have 4 kids ..
Thanks for this!

I guess you're right, Goji! I just grow tired of being the "perfect partner" for someone who's not currently in my life. It's tough and I am so lonely. I just don't want to give up on my dream but this loneliness is killer. Feels like I'm waiting for someone who isn't there. But My heart is strong and I am passionate about this man... where ever he is.

I just need to relax about it and stop pondering when and where he is. I should just go with the flow. I am so worried I'll never find him though. I just want to be loved as deeply and whole as I will love my partner. I have so much love its like hurts to keep it all to myself. But it has to be the right person. I am nervous but I will wait my life if it means looking someone in the eyes and feeling like I'm looking at my heart in the mirror!

Maybe this is why you get friend zoned?

Maybe its too much pressure to try living up to the 1 man for life expectation, or maybe it feels suffocating, and so they opt out...

You say you get to know them in depth, so I presume they get to know you in depth too and are aware of your romantic expectations...

I could be wrong though, obviously...

Just sharing an alternate angle.

Just so you know just because you find a partner that dose not mean loneliness will go away , matter of fact when you do find mr. right it's going to take a lot of work it's not a walk in the park .

Do you have a pet maybe with all that love a puppy will help you feel less alone or a cat ?

I think the problem here is you are looking for somebody that is perfect instead of somebody that is perfect for you in terms of a partner. Nobody is perfect – as much as I adore my Wife she does have her flaws and so do I and if you are waiting for a perfect person to come along then I am sorry to say the chances are you will be waiting for a long time.

It is possible some of the guys you like might not be asking you out because they are worried you will turn them down. My Brother-In-Law was like this with my Sister and she ended up making the first move and they have been happily married now for over 15 years.
Thanks for this!
