I don't know if other people feel compelled to get a date for the holidays, but, this is when I usually feel like putting a halt to the whole social scene until the new year. Am I alone in this reaction?

I have been very active on a couple of dating sites, but I feel like messaging both sites and saying "Away for the holiday. Back next year."

I'm pretty sure that you are not alone in your feelings about holiday dating. I'm just curious..... is there a reason why you feel this way? Whatever makes you comfortable over the holidays is what you need to do.

I'm kind of in the same boat Nick's Nose, I'm on a dating site. I asked my brother for advice (trust me he's experienced lol), and he says guys usually don't bother much before the holidays. They are thinking, stuff like, well if I date her, am I going to have to get her a gift etc. I find that funny. Not all I'm sure are like that.
I have told a few I'm chatting with that, not to expect me to be talking much because family and the holiday season is busy. I think that works. It's not a good time of year, for me anyways, it is too complicated. so you aren't alone in your feelings
Hugs.
