I've been having issues with my mom lately. I'm 24 and recently had to move back home. I feel like I'm never good enough for her. We also fight pretty much all the time, I want out but I can't afford it. We've been meeting twice a month with each of our therapists present but it seems to be getting us nowhere. I've pretty much stopped wanting to talk to her and only talk to her at these meetings. I guess I'm just frustrated can anyone offer any help? Thanks!

i believe that it's normal for you to be frustrated to be living at home right now. BUT, it isn't the end of the world and you aren't the first child that has moved back home in their twenties!!!!!

try seeing things from your mom's point of view...whatever that is. sometimes we have to step out of our movie and watch someone else's for awhile to really appreciate that person.............xoxoxo pat

I thought my mom disliked me and that I was huge disappointment to her . . . until I was in my 50s. Turns out, a lot of it was about my over-sensitivity and insecurity.

I had a conversation with my cousin once about how my brother had always been mom's favorite . . . and she said, "All she talks about is you."

Like Pat said, try to see some things from her POV. And keep on with the counseling.
