I hate, hate being single. I'm all the time looking at myself, then at someone else and comparing myself. I want to be in a relationship so bad and I have no idea why. I hate saying this, but I would settle with any guy who gave me an ounce of attention.

Can you work on feeling good about yourself without a guy? The truth is that if you're not happy on your own, that no guy will ever make you happy. I'd hate to see you settle for some random guy just because he paid attention to you. I think you deserve better than that!

I can relate too well. I have been fighting those feelings for as long as I can recall ~ and ChipperMonkey is absolutely right. I wholeheartedly attest to the following: Being with someone doesn't take this self-doubt and low self-esteem away from me. When another woman comes around, my paranoid self studies her (in hopes of self-improvement), and puts myself down further. It is a vicious cycle! My pDoc recommended a workbook to help me work through things. It's called, "Get Out of Your Mind & Into Your Life" by Stephen Hayes, PH.D. You may want to check it out online, and see what others have to say about it. I find it to be written well. So far, it is easily understandable. Something worth thinking about anyway. ![]()
