I've noticed on occasion that encountering a person who is friend but not close he will show me an angry look as if we are enemies when we've never had an angry word but only fun together. It seems to just come up in him from I guess all the accumulated social feelings that go around in life. When this happens I have to diffuse it by not responding in kind. It's just a curious happening and I wanted to put it out there.

From first hand I can say yes I know one or two people like that. Maybe they're just not aware of what their visual cues come across as.
