Even tho I'm trying to get out of my mood rut I think my husband hates me. He continues to make poor decisions for himself and rationalises poor decisions for me to keep the situation going. ... I'm not really sure at this point how to unstuck us...

Hello Calypso 2632: I'm sorry you & your husband are stuck. Ruts are easy to get into in a long-term relationship. And they can be difficult to get out of... especially if only one of the two people in the relationship sees there is a problem. I hope that you will be able to find a way out of yours...

I'm in exactly the same situation with my wife. I know we're capable of leading a life far more enriching and meaningful than the one we have but every time we talk about it we both admit to how unhappy we are and then nothing changes and we keep making the same mistakes over and over and just feeling really crappy about them. Hope you find a way out. Hope we do too.

My husband and I are stuck, too. Sometimes it seems like we are on opposite sides of the worlds when it comes to agreeing on stuff.
