Though I am in no particular rush to get into a relationship, I do peruse dating sites. On one of them, I had "liked" a guy and sent him a brief message. A month passed with no response, nothing, and then today? He "liked" me back. So I sent him another brief message.
I don't know where this'll go, nor am I expecting it'll go anywhere, tbh. My philosophy is to go into these sorts of things not expecting anything to happen, but having hope that maybe some guy some time will eventually respond to the message I sent them. That way I don't set myself up for disappointment. I know it's all too easy to click that "like" button, so yeah. Maybe he'll respond this time, maybe not. Either way, it gave me a little something to do today, besides being on here and talking to this community.

Thanks for responding Wandering, I appreciate it.
We are still talking! I'm overcoming being shallow and judgmental about people too. You see, he isn't the most "in shape" person I've met, but it isn't such a big deal to me. I really am not bothered by this at all, actually. I really want to meet him, but am going to talk to him a lot more before doing that.

As for him taking a while to respond to your "like", it's been my experience that in general, men don't check their account as often as women do.
Good luck! Hopefully he's a prince, not a frog.
