Just wanted to update you all on what's going on with me. The guy I contacted after the first one fizzled out sort of dropped off the map too, over which I had cried. I thought I had given him some reason to hate me or some such nonesence. Well, after a week and a half and calling it a loss, he contacted me again and now we're texting each other! So all is good as far as that is concerned.

Don't wait too long before meeting him. Is he asking to meet?

Meeting him is a good idea ^ I agree. Do so in a public area. Be careful.

I don't believe in carrying knives or guns. They aren't for me.

I am always careful when meeting any guy I meet online. I usually use the mall close to my house as a meetup spot.

Okay, so I asked him last night, after I mustered up some courage and he said "that would be cool" and we started making plans. Nothing concrete yet, as he has to talk to his hiking buddies he usually goes on hikes with on weekends and such. He then ended our convo with a "we'll figure something out" and a smiley emoticon.

I was practically dancing on air the whole convo. Since we were texting, we haven't heard each other's voices yet, but he and I seem to have a ton in common. I have a good feeling about this. After all, a guy who plays Pokémon and Zelda can't be all bad, can he?

Okay, so I need some advice here. I want to text him, but don't want to him to feel smothered and all that, which is what really turned me off from my most recent ex and why the relationship didn't work out, I think. I guess I'm just wanting confirmation that texting him tonight isn't too soon after last night.

Guys who play Pokemon and Zelda are great guys, I can tell you that because I'm one of them! LOL Seriously, as long as he doesn't have a gaming obsession, it's okay .

As for your other post Artchic, when did you two planned to talk again?

Sorry was working late. Don't text. Let him text first. Since you asked to see him first, I would now let him come forward. Kind of take turns initiating things.

Taking turns is a good idea. It shows interest and resolve.

We never got around to planning our next conversation. I guess we're just talking whenever the mood strikes us.

It's okay, Divine. I don't expect anyone to drop what they are doing to help me. I'm not THAT important.

Anyways, I didn't text him at all tonight. I figured I'd let him decide when to initiate the convo. Put the ball in his court, as it were.

Yep^ I agree. I always am the pursuer, because I am dominant. I have to learn to slow down and let them chase also.

My goodness, you just resumed the story of my life right there. lol I'm also a pursuer and past girlfriends broke up with me because I'm really proactive and I pushed them too much to their liking. I said ''we have this and this to do today'' and those things were really important but they wanted to go shopping, watch Netflix, it's okay to relax and live your passions to the maximum after all the biggest priorities of the day are done but seems like we didn't have the same sense of priorities. To me, if you play video games or watch Netflix after, you can really control your comsuption of those things. If you do them before, you risk losing control, spending much more time than wanted because leisure are a lot of fun and running out of time for the most important things in your life but they did not agree with me ...though they always whined of ''always being out of time for homeworks and everything''. I only had good intentions but my father tells me to be careful, sometimes I want things too much. I wanted one of my ex to lose a couple pounds because it was the best for her health but like my father said, you can bring a camel to the well but you can't force him to drink! LOL I guess it gets on some people nerve that I always look and try to do everything the optimal way but that's how I am, I'm really proactive and I must always have something to do. I got no time to be lazy and procrastinate. We can be lazy when we sleep!
