Better safe than sorry IMO.......so you still don't own the car with the title being in your name?

Where did you get the idea I still don't own the car? The car was owned by me the day I bought it. And it was definitely owned by me when the whole title fiasco got worked out 3 weeks ago!

I believe Eskie is talking about the fact that you were told twice or more that there was a more current title on the car.. So altho you paid for the car until that title clears and its issued to you, then in all reality you didn't "own" the car .....until the correct title was found and used. So yes you owned the car once that was cleared up. If picking apart all the 1001 reasons this guys texted you or offered to wax your car etc .... well who knows . Continue to try and figure it out if you feel that its a good healthy thing for you to do. Good luck

I wonder if focusing on something that some random guy texted once is taking your focus of true issue ( I recall you were having marital problems and husbands substance abuse concerns efc).
Sometimes when I don't want to face true issue I become preoccupied with minor things that are of no importance. I wonder if that's what you are doing: being concerned why random guy texted something once or why is he still hanging out with his ex- why is it even a concern. Are you trying to avoid serious issues? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I never read where you said that the title issue had been cleared up finally & even if you pay for a car it's not considered to be yours until you have the title in your own hand. There have been scams out there where people pay for a car & don't get the title then the person who still has the title will report it stolen. & it causes all kinds of legal problems.....so in reality, the DMV doesn't acknowledge your ownership of a car until it is actually transferred into your name with the change of title. I was looking to see where you wrote that got cleared up. Must have missed your post about that.

The question in the thread topic has been answered... Seems obsolete now, since we're on page three of a different topic... Or Maybe the title should've been "am I right to be so fixated by an unexpected text?"
Just pointing out that OP has derailed her own thread, and derailing is a rule breaker. But idk, maybe it doesn't count when the OP is doing it?
