That's my 3rd post here, I think, for this situation.
I was in a relationship with an emotional abuser and generally someone who wasn't for me.
And I am glad, and sad, but I got rid of it.
We broke up.
It hurts but there is also this huge weight lifted off my chest.
I prefer for it to hurt now then to hurt all of the time.

Well Done! That's a great first step. I am sure that there were some good times and positives in your relationship and those are the things you miss and are grieving for but once the grief mellows you will realise how much better your life is.

Self preservation is of utmost importance and also shows you know your worth.


It's not by any means easy to break away from an abuser, (I know) but its one of the kindest things one can do for yourself.
