So I was at my birthday party and I had fun mostly but my boyfriend was there and we've been with eachother since April and never been affectionate.so this one time at the party it just felt ackward.I've hugged guys and girls before but this felt strange . I told him it felt ackward he was like why does it feel ackward and I just shut down told him it. Was something I didn't Want to talk about. Were already breaking up though he's oblivious.I wonder if this is. The reason. Though I don't know

Do you like affection in general or is this something that's been happening with your boyfriend?

No it hasn't been happening with my boyfriend I'm a very affectionate person but the first time. I actually tried to hug him he pulled away don't know if that had to do with his autism or not

If he has autism it could definitely be tied to that. I have social anxiety and avoidant personality disorder and am guessing that it is awkward when I hug someone because I feel that it is awkward myself even though I'm a very romantic/affectionate person inside.
