I'm 31 and I've never had a girlfriend longer than 3 months. Every time I date I begin to find things I don't like about them and break up with them. The girl I'm with now is awesome, but I'm slowly finding things I don't like about her. It's only a matter of time before she becomes a statistic. Please, if you have no experience with this problem then don't reply. I don't want to read "opinions" from people that have no clue what this is like. There's nothing more frustrating.

I actually do have experience with this, because I refuse to settle. However, I'm willing to accept some flaws.
What is your turning point? |

Most of us have done this at some time or other in a relationship. It is to do with projecting ones own self dislikes onto another. In some way it is a protective mechanism whereby you sabotage the relationship before you can be hurt.
In any event, I found this book by 'Keeping the love you find' by Harville Hendrix, invaluable in helping me to identify my patterns and to understand the reasons why . I would highly recommend it as a starting point for you. I was unable to have any sort of relationship at first, and while I still have my struggles, at least I can have a love now and recognise it for what it is |

I've never dated / been with someone who doesn't have a flaw. Oh hell I've got so many I wouldn't be able to count! Depends on the nature of the flaw I guess.
