Well, I don't know how many of you know this, but I am pregnant. Now, I should mention, I am no longer with my ex who got me pregnant, in fact we had already broken up when it happened, we just happened to have.. a momentary indescrestion you might say A scene fit for Jerry Springer lol

Well we still live together, but just as friends. This has been since a couple month now, and we weren't together terribly long either - about nine months. We actually lived together before we dated, and I think that's where the disaster started in the first place.

So thats situation number one.

Now, to complicate things, a guy I went on a few dates with prior to my most recent relationship has indicated an interest in rekindling things you might say. He knows I am pregnant, and is fine with it, and has even gone so far as to say that he will support me in any way he can, friend or more.

I must say I'm interested. At the time we stopped seeing each other it was for reasons beyond either of our abilities to work around, and was necessary.

But for the life of me I just can't figure out if it would be morally(morally? I dont know if thats the right word) or socially acceptable to date while I am pregnant. It makes me feel a little.. I dunno, loose I guess A scene fit for Jerry Springer lol

But then again, there is NO chance that I will be getting back together with the babies father, in fact he is barely interested in the child itself to be honest. Though he is helping me out financially because I cannot work. He's said he doesn't care if I date other people, and frankly I don't care if he dates other people.

This is a quandry which I just am not sure of. Any advice or ideas? Negative or Positive welcomed.

This is just my personal opinion, but it sounds like you would really be better off alone. Concentrating on taking control of your own life & your new childs life......not being dependent on others who may constantly leave you in the Jery Springer, soap opera, drama life.

It is always best to be independent....you know your needs & the needs of your child & you need to be the responsible one.....maybe it's time to work on that responsibility & figure yourself out without anyone else getting in the way.

You are in a tough spot, but why let anyone else in to make it even tougher?

Debbie,

yes, that is what I am leaning towards as well. IT just seems that it would serve to complicate matters too much.

I am quite comfortable with being a single mom, as the ex is going to help out and even though it is going to be a struggle I know it is worth it.

But at the same time its hard to step back and let something that could be quite positive go.
