I don't think it is fair or right, my screwed up moms husband(I don't consider that thing my "father"). He tells me to end my life, hurt myself, calls me names, says he wish he never had me, calls me obese, ugly, worthless. Says he wants me to be homeless, purposly tries to make that happen by refusing to let me finish school(homeschool) refuses to let me learn how to drive. Tells me to end my life because I'm a worthless piece of ***** ever since I left the mental hospital yesterday. Does anyone else have to deal with a family member like this?

Please go to the police and report this abuse. Let them remove you from that environment. Go to your public school that you are zoned for and tell them your parents are not allowing you to go to school and are abusing you. Please do something to get yourself away from this evil abuser! Call a help line. This is completely wrong.

I hate what you are going through. Has it occured to you that you might be living with an immature, self centered and possibly mentally ill adult? I'd like to add that he may a self esteem issue. Parents aren't suppose to behave that way. It shouldn't matter what personal issues you might have such as weight, purple hair, tatoos or 6 arms. You need to be loved unconditionally. Try to focus on a future and a place where you can decide who lives in your "space" and how you will be treated. You can and will get there.

Since you have reported here a number of different people who tell you inappropriate things, are you sure the things you're hearing are truly coming from others and not negative self-talk?

You stated a psychiatrist spoke to you very inappropriately a couple of weeks ago.

You stated the counselor on the psych unit spoke to you inappropriately last week.

You have previously reported your family making statements about your weight and "refusing" to teach you to drive, etc.

You have previously reported this to the police and stated they didn't do anything.

All of these people have not colluded to tell you the same things. You are the common denominator here. Have you ever had hallucinations or delusions?

Keep this in mind, OP.
Since he's not really your father, he's not linked to you in any way.

Some people are just very sensitive to negative remarks... like I am

I understand that some people are sensitive, but the OP has reported professionals speaking about the same subjects in a similar way to him/her on various occasions. It's very unlikely that people in different locations (as the psychiatrist and the psychologist who were seen in different weeks in different places), talked to the OP about the same subjects in the same inappropriate way.

I think the OP does believe he/she had these conversations with these people but I am not so sure they really occurred.

I'm sorry you are going through this. If this is really occurring (taking into account what a previous poster said) then this person who is verbally abusing you is mentally disturbed. Does your mother know what's going on? If so, what does she do about it? If not can you bring her into the loop?

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
