I've had this happen so much, I think I have some strange telepathic ability.

From out of the blue, they come back to me.

I'm glad I missed the call. My heart stopped when I saw it. Yet, I returned the call (stupid me). Thank God, he didn't answer.

I don't want to talk to him, because I'm afraid of him. I got myself into a lot of trouble over him a while ago, and I have kept him at bay.

I've been being so good. Taking care and enjoying the mundane. No drama needed here.

Please don't beat yourself up over this--it was a brief impulsive act and your not going to answer his calls or call him again.

It's not your fault that he called. He knows your married and with your past together the most caring thing he could do for you is to stay away. It was selfish of him to call but hopefully it was just a brief impulsive act for him too.....

Your H is so much more important than this guy so I hope he never has to know or get involved in any further drama but he knows you are impulsive. This will work itself out since you have gotten your priorities straightened out....
Thanks for this!

It could be your 6th sense....or it could be his.
They have an uncanny ability to sense weakness, to know when your on the edge, even when you think they couldn't possibly know.
It's text book in abusers and manipulators.
Of course he might be neither if these things, but trouble is trouble...It rarely changes.

Ah well all the best, take care.

I knew a woman, who whenever I initiated contact with her after some time of no contact, she would say something like "Hey, I thought about you a few days ago!".
Thanks for this!

There are a few exes I often think about. I still feel connected to them. It's like, once you've loved someone, you always love them.

These thoughts have been so intrusive to my life, that I've decided I must have ROCD. So, when I ruminate, I reassure myself that it's just my MI.

But, those few guys think about me too.

Argh

I know this is stupid and pointless.

They got under my skin too deeply. I didn't love them enough to stay, but I loved them too much to emotionally let go.

Does that make sense?

It makes perfect sense to me....to me, you can't really un-love someone....there's always a little piece of yourself that you leave with them. Whether they want it or not.

It's the push/pull, BPD thing, I now understand.

There were people I didn't attach to like that.

But there are several significant people to me. I am a 'serial monogamist'. I had real, intimate relationships with these few men. Of course, it was so long ago and we were much younger.

But, I lived with them, spent every day with them, was essentially their wife. We loved each other. Even though I broke off those relationships, I never stopped holding them in my thoughts, in my heart.

While I didn't want to commit my life to them and have their children, I did love them, but only from a distance---yikes!
