I have a supportive family and get plenty of hugs from my brother. I go to work and I like the people there. I go to church an just shake hands with the exception of one woman who hugs me. I feel as though I need more interaction with people. I'm usually tired so I don't know how or when to make a new friend. I have been divorced for 6 years. I would like some affection. I really can't date for a couple more years until I move out of my brother's house. Any suggestions how not to feel alone?

I've just bought a piano

Secondhand ... vintage ... cheap as chips.

I've always wanted to learn how to play and I"m teaching myself off some youtube tutorials.

You don't have to go to the extreme of a piano ...

But is there something you've wanted to do but simply haven't?

Well, it's really hard for me to approach your situation, since I'm pretty much the opposite (barely ever interact with people, and still sometimes manage to feel overwhelmed). That said, at least in theory I'm getting sustained socially by my cat. Do you have a pet?

I don't have a pet but my brother has 4 cats. One of them cuddles me sometimes. As far as music goes I have no musical talent

Hm, yeah, I don't know... It may seem counterintuitive, but have you considered penpals? I'm just spitballing here, but penpals and other relationships of this kind can provide quite a different type of stimulus... I personally don't like it (for me it's too stressful if another person is waiting for my personal message on the other end), but who knows. At least I feel that it's a different experience from posting on a forum.
