...why do I belong to a universe in which no one I fall in love with will love me in return!?

(((((LL))))) I think love with the right person will happen for you. Maybe just not always when you want it to. I know its frustrating.

Now that I am looking back and blaming my choices on MI I didn’t know I had...

The ones I fell in love with didn’t love me back, only teased me. I found the ones who did love me and tried to love them back.

But, I think this is all part of BPD.

Subconsciously, you are causing it for yourself. I have now learned other people don’t do this.

The infinite universe theory tells us that not only are there universes where all those people love you but you don't return their love, and universes where you love each other and live happy every after. I comfort myself with the knowledge that my suffering in this universe is required for me to be happy in another universe.

I'm sorry you feel you are causing it for yourself. I disagree with that for all people struggling to find someone though. I don't think LL is causing it for herself. I don't think I am causing it for myself, either. I don't see it as a product of my mental health issues. I do see it, as a possible product of the way I grew up, and the way I experienced "love" early on with boyfriends, and low self esteem (in the past). I also see it as just not having met the right person. Sure, there's work to be done on myself, but I personally don't attribute it to my mental health issues.

This reminds me of the song: you can't hurry love.

I know you feel discouraged, but don't give up. There are billions of people in this world. You're person is out there looking for you too. Hugs.

Sorry LL, I was very triggered when I wrote that last post. I don’t know what you think subconsciously, of course.
