With my hubby of 40 + years,he complains about the dog staring at him!The dog stares at me to but I don't pay any attention to it.He has the pup spoiled with treats giving them to him more often than he should. The treats are expensive,I did have a talk with him about over spending. With a ten dollar a day cigarette habit he has & only SS to live on we don't need this problem. He did have the pup hooked on candy ( It was not good) I finally got him away from it,the made in China treats were very bad,so he started buying the jerky for people! At least his hair is not falling out & he is a healthy pup.Still wish hubby didnt throw a fit over the staring.I have threatened to get sunglasses for the dog LOL.I know this is silly but my husband has problems & I have no one to talk to.

Yes, my dog sometimes stares at me too. And I rarely give him any treats! Since your hubby is constantly giving the dog treats, it's no wonder the dog stares at him! It's really unfortunate the dog is getting all of this stuff. He may be healthy now. But all of this does not bode well for his future.

Our dog receives his veterinary care at our local veterinary medical college. And the vets there have commented that, because so many dogs are overweight, people in general don't know what a properly weighted dog looks like. We have always watched our dog's weight carefully, as well as, given him a good amount of exercise. And now we're especially glad we did because he's getting older & he was recently diagnosed as having kidney disease. (There's no cure for this in dogs.) But, so far, he's still healthy & doing well.

Unfortunately, I don't know what to suggest with regard to your hubby's treat-feeding habit. It's not silly from my perspective. But, unfortunately, I don't know as I have any solutions to offer you either.

Thanks for this!
