Feeding on Demand

That’s all I’m useful for.

I think I learnt this at a very young age

“While my guitar gently weeps”

Through all my mistakes, I have been learning.

And one of the biggest lessons... is how uncaring of fuzzy bear this world is

I’ve learnt this. But life keeps throwing that same lesson in my face.

I’m tired of it.

That person can take their mind games and shove them hard up their backside and I'll help them shove it there

Ignore them, Fuzzy, you're beautiful inside and out

Growing up I told myself I was a vacuum cleaner in a closet...I'm only noticed when someone needs something from me and it's usually to do their work for them...I changed that point of view, and it took a long time to overcome this struggle by positive thinking/reinforcement and setting boundaries. Accepting who you are is key, and how you think of yourself will set the bar for everyone else. You'll get there.

We can't make them stop but we can learn to not listen to what they are saying. We can learn to take control of the situation & either walk away from them when they start saying crap like that or take control of the conversation & change the topic.

I couldn't do it in my marriage because I had never learned the skills. His thing wasn't about how undeserving but I just couldn't learn not to ask him about things I needed to know or needed him to do & he would always agree & never do it but never tell me he didn't do it....or give me totally wrong information in his brain he was sure he was right. At that time I realized I couldn't live in a marriage like that but at the time I couldn't change how I was handling it or how I reacted. 11 years later when I was dealing with him for resolving the divorce....I had since learned skills to handle him & many times I walked away & other times I just said "not continuing this conversation".

Everyone's mind has neuroplasticity which means even if we learned a way of responding to something all our life we are totally capable of learning a new way of responding to things. A lot of research has been done on this in relation to stroke victims & people who have had a TBI.

Keep always at the forefront of your mind "I am just as deserving as everyone else" that is how we start to reprogram our mind not to accept what they are saying.

You know that joke about men having selective hearing.....they hear what they want to hear. Learn to have selective hearing when it comes to someone telling you something totally WRONG like this.

/\ /\ THIS THIS THIS !!!#@#!!!/\ /\

This "person" Does NOT get to give verdicts on you, your life, your personality, or any of your personal traits (which are lovely and caring, the evidence of which is all over PC so there ) . They have no authority.

I am drama-averse, extremely. After many years of standing still listening to others tear me down &/or make fun of me/deride my actions, I now walk away. They are not allowed to invalidate me. Period, Their slanted and just plain ugly takes on everything from how I dress to my religious beliefs, are not valid -- because they are offered with malicious intent.

Don't let these fools penetrate your fur, Fuzzy. They do not walk in your paws, they don't see thru your kind and loving eyes. They have no grounds on which to stand.

Was hard as Hades for me to learn this: was brought up by my Southern mama to employ courtesy and politely hear everyone out, and never be rude under any circumstances. Sorry Mother, but that's a crock! There are some viewpoints and verbiage which don't deserve even that much validation. I had to learn a hard thing:
Phone call from ranting gaslighting demanding relative, and I finally for the first time ever, said: " That is simply not so, and I'm done talking to you". And hung up the phone & cried. Next time? No tears. Was very very freeing.

Boo on negativity in one's life!

Hugs to your wonderful furry self,

Chyia, not having it
