hello guys, i really love someone and i CAN'T express my feelings for him even though i know he loves me too. the reason for this is because i have a boyfriend. don't get me wrong, i feel very guilty and unfaithful for feeling this way. i really care for my boyfriend and don't want to hurt him in any way, but i don't feel "romantic" around him, meaning i don't feel like i just want to cuddle him and wrap him in my arms. he's more like a REALLY good friend.

the reason i started being serious with my boyfriend is because it has been 8 years since i last felt the feeling i feel with my crush. i literally thought i just imagined ever feeling that way towards anyone, and that the deep friendship i have with my boyfriend is all there is, nothing more.

what am i supposed to do with these feelings? i don't want to get rid of them because it has been so long ago i felt this way and i really wish i could act on them. i don't want to get rid of my boyfriend either, or hurt him in any way.

i also want to add, my crush is not a bad person. as he figured out i had a boyfriend he distanced himself from me and i am really proud of him for that.

Break up with your boyfriend if you love someone else. That is not fair to your boyfriend, to be carrying feelings of love for someone else. You know that what you have with your boyfriend isn't enough. So why delay the inevitable? You cannot have it both ways, nor is it nice to do to someone. Seems pretty simple to me.

If you don’t feel romantic around your boyfriend, then it’s better if you don’t drag it on and just end it.
Thanks for this!

I agree with Golden Eve and Divine1966 if you are not longer in love with your boyfriend then you should break up with him. You might feel bad or guilty but it’s not fair or healthy for you both.
