I agree. There can be a lot of arrogant people out there, and I know quite a few, but yeah there is a key difference between arrogance and someone with full blown narcissism. As I mentioned to someone else, out of all the people I have known and currently know who display arrogance or have anger issues, I can only think of one person, who I no longer associate with, that could very well be narcissistic. I could be wrong but if I heard she had narcissism, I would not be surprised at all.

I guess what's most important is how said person is affecting "you". Who are they in your life? Are you willing to sacrifice yourself to accommodate what they're unable to see for themselves? I posted an article in the NDP forum you might be interested in. It's about how to de-escalate with an NDP. There must be other strategies for non-NDPers who either love their person or is unable to detach for whatever reason.. so they're not continuously being victimized. That's where I'm at right now. Thanks for this post! 🙂 |

I don't think I referred to "bad people" as my take is that there are no "bad people" just "bad behaviors." I can't look into someone's soul and know they are bad or good. All I can do is look at behavior.

Ya, I think it was in your original wording that made your statement confusing for me. "Bad people" is so subjective.. but yes, behaviour is more concrete and telling.

Nope, I didn't even use the word "bad" in my first response except to say someone was having a "bad day".
