Socializing in the covid world

Is it weird to approach someone during the daytime these days? Everybody used to freak out about the covid situation but I feel like it’s more under control by now. Still, I don’t feel 100% confident about making a move. What would you think if I approached you (assuming I know how to do it and I don’t look like a hobo) ?

if you're 6 feet or more away from who you're approaching, I don't see anything inherently wrong. I can see it being a weird sight though.

Why do you ask?

That was my way of meeting women back in a day. I'm not really into clubs or bars. I know it may be a bit unexpected but that usually works in my favour.

I ask because I obviously had to keep myself back because of the covid and I want to get back in the game

Where do you approach people? You mean for a casual chit chat in a store or you ask strangers out? I am not sure what you mean

Both, I guess. Sometimes I have some time for myself, for example, in the mall, so if I see a girl who doesn’t seem busy at the time, I make a move. The main goal would be to have a little chit chat, make it light and funny, with no expectations. If things go well and it makes sense to take it further, we leave the mall and head towards the sunset lol

Why do you ask? Is it so untypical? Don’t tell me I’m that weird…

I can't speak for other people, but I know I wouldn't take things in a direction that would require close proximity..

I suppose for some it would also depend on where you live and the frequency of covid 19. But even then, i would rather be safe than sorry. Easy for me to say though since i rarely go out.

If you want to get back in the game, maybe you can try out dating apps or something of the like if you haven't already?

I do talk to strangers so I don’t think it’s weird talking to people. But I’d think most women would be afraid to leave the mall with a stranger. That can be a next episode of a tv show about serial killers. I am not saying you are dangerous. But these women don't know if you are or aren’t

I have to hand it to you, this is the best mindset one can have. I respect that and I can empathize. We don't leave the mall together, though - I'm not that good I meant that sometimes we'd go out for coffee. Nothing too invasive. And just for the record, I'm no Ted Bundy.

Of course, I didn’t mean you are dangerous. But how do they know? It’s hard to date nowadays. Most women wouldn’t talk to strangers
