Me and here have been together for 10yrs. We been married for 4 of those years. I was not the best husband the first couple years and was mentally abusive. I have changed and worked on myself and I am no longer this way but i do make mistakes sometimes like we all do. One night i got mad at her and she said im still my past self but to my mind im thinking i didnt do anything that serious and apologized immediately but it did not work and triggered her so hard that she wants nothing to do with me and wants divorce. We got into argument and i told her look up the divorce info herself if thats what she wants to do. Since then i have been taking a course on how to get her back and i am currently trying things and she has been opening up a little bit so im thinking what i learned has been working. But today she calls me and say she needs my social because shes feeling out a divorce application to see what the lawyer will say. I was caught of guard..what should i do or say??? I dont want to go through it just yet without trying what i have recently learned to do so that she takes me back or start getting an attraction back..PLEASE HELP

It sucks but some things aren't fixable. After my first husband backhanded me I was done. His affairs were stressful but I survived them hitting me was the nail in the coffin. He begged me apologized, but a line was crossed. Sometimes I wish I was more forgiving but than I hear it's really unforgivable. He'd repeat the abuse. And likely has with his wife who has stayed. Anyway you'll meet someone, move on. Keep healing yourself. She may return but unlikely. Some lines once crossed break the marriage forever.
