She is a dependent on our immigration application. If we divorce , she no longer is eligible to become a permanent resident. We have informally agreed to let her have that for her own stability but that can take anywhere from 6 months to years. We have been waiting for over a decade now. We are getting close but cannot say for certain.

I am baffled now.If she is dependent and if she divorced and will lose her legal status, she is the one wants to divorce?I don't get it.But thanks for sharing your situation.

Yeah basically she’s had it with me and just waiting to get immigration done with and then dump me. I can’t leave her for legal and financial reasons and there is a part of me that still loves her and wants her back. I keep telling myself that ship has sailed and get your **** together and move on. You deserve better
