How am I supposed to support a loved one whilst they're going through problems when I find it hard to even cope myself? I'm not sure how to go into much detail as they may read it.
But I feel I'm going to loose them... I can't support and be there for them Supporting a loved one....

That's a tough one. We have to take care of ourselves first. Little notes of encouragement? Saying you can't help, but you still care?

Sometimes the best thing to do is to be a good role model. Take good care of yourself. You will be role modeling good self care.

No matter what your loved one is going through, there is a wide array of help available to them, and it doesn't have to come from you.

My mom always told me growing up to take care of #1. If you have a hard time coping yourself, then if you help them and short yourself, that makes for two bad situations doesn't it? I gotta agree with CedarS. Sometimes the best thing we can do is become a role model. Great advice.

I understand you totally. Its hard to deal with two situations at once especially when you are trying to better yourself.
