Death by Autoerotic Asphyxiation?

My friend get's 'roused when she's choked. Her boyfriend likes to choke her but I'm a little worried. Yes, I've warned her about it but she doesn't seem to care so there's no more I can do. But her boyfriend, I'm almost confident he isn't a pro at choking people, (Like a dominatrix) and he tends to be abusive. What are the chances he'll kill her or what should I do?

Eek, bad situation. Breathplay is very risky stuff even done by a "pro." Does this guy understand that if her injures or kills her, he's going to be looking at assault or homicide charges?

People definitely die of erotic/autoerotic asphyxiation. (I recently read an accident insurance policy that listed autoerotic asphyxiation as one of the reasons they would not pay a claim. Apparently they run into it that often!)

It's hard to predict the "chances" of death in this kind of situation, but people's bodies can react in sudden and unexpected ways. Being choked can shut somebody down very fast.

How old are the parties involved?

ouch, that sounds serious. don't know that there's much you can do...the only thing that comes to mind is to speak with your friend in confidence and tell her how concerned you are for her safety. unfortunately we are powerless over other ppl. she may disregard your concern but at least you have shared thiss with her.u're a good friend to care for her safety.

Are you serious about the insurance claim? I mean,wow. I wonder if there a things that exclusive inurances cover such as that. She's 17, he's 19 or 20.

I checked the policy again and it was a little broader than that: they won't pay claims for suicide, intentional self-harm, or autoeroticism. So basically, you're out of luck if you injure yourself masturbating!

About the age thing...if they were a little younger I might tell the parents. That's not a great way to keep friends, but it might save somebody's life. But if she's 17, I don't know...OK, she's technically a minor, but realistically I'm not sure how much her parents can do. At some point we're going to make our own decisions, even if they're really bad ones.

Wow. Well, I'll be sure to go over my insurance policy again. My teacher and I discussed this about a man who took one too many 'happy pills' and ended up with an erection lasting for more than 6 hours and how if he couldn't pay for it, and it wasn't taken care of there could be damage to thopse regions as well as harm to the blood vessels maybe. (I'm not a doctor so I can't say these things factually)

I know. She has no parents to speak of. (A minor who skips from one group home to another) But nonetheless all we can do is talk to them and it is their choice to accept that advice or not. But thanks so much for this.
