At work I see and feel that some people are trying to hurt others, damage their self esteem, crush them down.

I see that elsewhere too and I simply don't understand what is these people's goal in all this. It surely is not happiness.

Hi there,
There are always people that are like this - as the world is a diverse place, and it takes all sorts. It sometimes can be the competative nature of some people, sometimes they are not aware that they are like that. I tend to keep out of their way and try not to be like them. In fact it makes me go out there and do something nice for someone, or really make an effort to be kind to someone - to counteract it somewhat.

Hi there,
I did a quick reply but I'm not sure if it worked - but here is what I think.
There are always going to be people out there that are like that- as the world is a diverse place and it takes all sorts. Sometimes it is the competative nature of people, sometimes they are not even aware that they are like that. I try and keep out of there way and not be like them. I make an extra effort to be kind to people or do something nice for someone, to counteract it somewhat.

It might there way of not facing their own problems and weaknesses
it is easeier to blame someone who seems like a ggo target
I try to avoid it and then if it still happens - do get involved with helping others
I had a siutation where I was bullied at work so bad - I left
I loved my job- I was so faithful- I could not control boss- I have been told
many complaints filed against her - I had to leave- it is very hard in this economy
but I don't regret it

Sending my love to you both. Thank you for your replies.

We can take our place in this world without crushing others. We can also grow and go forward without damaging others. We can live each day without hurting anyone. We can give and receive without wanting what the other persons beside us have between their hands.

Stay safe!

At school today a girl made a really nasty comment about me being a hippy girl flower child. it wasn't what she said, but the way she said it. Obviously I don't care what she thinks about me, but it really made me loose faith in some people. I had never said a negative word to that girl.

My dear sweet one, I know you are not the same generation then I but for me being called a hippy girl flower child would be a compliment as I am a hippy girl flower child. My boss calls me a flower child and he say it with much kindness in his voice.

I know what you mean by " the way she said it ". A word can be a compliment but can also be a sword depending how it is said.

Yes sometime we did not hurt the other person and we don't understand why this person is hurting us. Their reason is beyond our understanding probably because we haven't walked in their shoes therefor it is not clear to us.

At work today this customer came to me and as I saw her coming towards me, I smile and said good morning. She then stopped, looked at me and said " How come you are smiling at me when the other lady who works here just served me without a smile, almost as if I was bothering her? How come you smile at me? " I said " Because a smile is free and it is mine to give." She said " Thank you ".
