I see a difference as well between googling info and "tracking down" - the latter implies trying to affect a meeting or the like. I have googled my T and I just recently googled a T he wanted me to consult with.
I think of it as recon. Because I don't generally trust people :P

My Support Forums is the online community that was originally begun as the Psych Central Forums in 2001.
